Natalie aka Red Five is making a name for herself as one of the newest upcoming female DJs in Southern California. With a background in playing piano most of her early life, music has always held a special place in her heart. Red Five was first exposed to electronic music in the goth/industrial scene and was mesmerized by the heavy bass and techno. However, it took a few more years for Red Five to find her true love – house music. It was then that she realized house music would be a lifelong passion. Her journey into DJing began with Dance Music Initiative’s educational classes, which led to her first opening slot at Youtopia 2017. Within her first year of DJing, Red Five has been booked at some of the hottest venues for house music, such as La Cave, Brussels Bistro, Purple 33, and Juicy Beets (Las Vegas). She has also been featured on renowned radio stations such as KX 93.5FM and Holly’s House on Subliminal Radio. Her sound is refreshing and unique, combining elements from the industrial techno scene with her love of funky disco to create a groovy tech house sound. Each set of hers is a different story, taking listeners on an unforgettable journey that will leave them wanting more. Some of her biggest influences include Lee Foss, Carl Cox, Claptone, Junior Jack, and Sonny Fodera. As a resident DJ for SPACE OC, you can regularly find her playing all around Southern California and Brussels in Laguna Beach.
